17 March 2019 Sunday Service Topic : _The Mystery and Benefit of Faith_ Text: Heb 4:1-2; Mark 11:23; Heb 11:1-6 Speaker: Pastor O. Kaffo Message Faith is necessary for Christain living. In all we do for God, we can't please him without faith. The Bible says _'the just shall live by faith'_, therefore if you are not living by faith you aren't really living in the sight if God. In our walk with God, it is also important that we learn to release our faith. -In today's world we are gradually being directed out of faith. Many Christians are not living by faith but placing their hope in themselves and in other people. This shows that there is no place for the work of God in their lives. -The bible says _'not by might (strength) nor by power but by the spirit of God'_. Those who rely on their strength and their ability tend to struggle in life. -If you please God He will raise you up but it is impossible to please God if you don't release your faith. Questions to ponder on: Are you pleasing God? Are you leaving by faith or by our abilities? Do we trust in ourselves or in God? -To please God you must have faith, to have faith you must believe in God to believe in God mean to live according to His word -If you don't release your faith you cannot enjoy the blessing God has already given you. - James 1:5-8 The bible has said we should ask in faith and we will receive. When a lifestyle of a Christian is not a lifestyle of faith he/she will not receive from God. As Christian we should enjoy the best this world has to offer, but we don't enjoy God's gifts because we don't ask in faith ( Heb 4:2) -Every child of God has a measure of faith but not all Christians release their faith by acting. In conclusion As Christians, we all have different measures of faith, but many of us don't put our faith to work by releasing it. We can release our faith by acting. For instance the woman with the issue of blood released her faith by taking a step to touch Jesus. When you release your faith, heaven will know and respond. Have a blessed week
