There are some Christians that are Consistently Inconsistent. Some Christians have ungodly characters, such that there appears to be no behavioural difference between the character of some Christians and unbelievers. Inconsistency is a silent killer of progress in both of your Spiritual and Physical life. God can't really do much with , or work with inconsistent people. Sunday Service Sunday 28th July 2019 Topic: Dealing with unbelief Text: Mark 6:1-6 Speaker: Pastor Olalekan Kaffo Message: There are many things we as Christians miss out on due to unbelief. James 1:1-8 There’s nothing God cannot do for us, for with God, nothing shall be impossible. Most times our unbelief is what hinders us. Matthew 17:20 Unbelief happens to everybody. We may or may not be aware of it. We must reject it whenever we notice. What is unbelief? Unbelief is believing other reports that are contrary to God’s. We must believe God’s report alone. Isaiah 53:1 Every Christian has faith. This is different from unbelief. Faith is why we pray or seek God’s presence in church; whereas, unbelief is doubt. Matthew 6:1-6, Matthew 17:20 Doubt has the tendency to dilute our faith. Peter has faith in God, so, he walked on water. However, when doubt set in, it negated his faith and he began to sink. Matthew 14:22-31 Unbelief is evil and it grieves God. Hebrews 3:12 How to overcome unbelief 1. Always go back to the word of God. Romans 10:17, 2 Peter 1:12-20, John 1:34, John 3:30, Matthew 11:1-5 2. By fasting. Fasting drives away unbelief as fast as possible. Matthew 17:19-21 3. Reject fear. Fear has torment and will blind one from seeing God’s promise. Mark 5:36 In conclusion, it’s time to put away doubt by taking the above steps so that we can receive God’s promises in full measures.
