Topic: An increasing thirst for growth- Psalm 42(1:2)
Preacher: Deacon Femi Siyanbola
In this new year we must increase our thirst for God. King David’s song in the reference text shows that he’s got thirst for God by relying on Him as his last resort. King David shows this by using the analogue of the deer running into the water as a last resort from enemies.
We must develop a burning desire to obey God for us to EMERGE as better individuals (Ephesians 2:2-3; 1Peter 5-8; John 2-15).
We must not let our souls be dead souls, devil is looking for who to devour. We are in the end time. It’s time we need to go for God that we might EMERGE better.
Its time we focused on God to solve our problems (1Kings 19-4).
Money, fame, riches, and wealth are all temporal, the Kingdom of God (Eternity) is the ultimate. This new year present to us another opportunity to become thirst for God and the things of the Kingdom.
